In the recent National Junior Judo Championship Circuit, our Judo boys put up very impressive performances. Trained by judokas Susan Cheah and Wong Joon Meng, our Form 3 boy won the U-15 title in the 81 kg category. His friend Chew Chee Han won the U-15 silver in the 66 kg category. Chee Han’s brother Chee Hui took the U-19 bronze in the 73 kg category. MBSSKL is working towards a centre of excellence for judo and a dojo is being built to cater for this purpose.

Once again, Yeap Eng Chiam, a form two boy, has done MBSSKL proud. He rose to the occasion to win the national under 15 MSSM Chess Championship during the March school holidays. Prior to this he was instrumental in getting MBSSKL to win the KL under 18 team title and also reaped the individual title.  A stunning feat indeed. And congratulations to the dedicated teachers, coaches and supporters. But remember “excellence is a journey and not a destination”. Lets work harder to ensure Eng Chiam and other school players will become world beaters.
