Four MBS boys, Albert Ang, Liew Tuck Onn, Jeremy Loo and Samuel Ong won gold medals in the 2009 University of New South Wales International Competitions and Assessments for Schools. Their fantastic feat enabled MBS to emerge as the top school in this competition with the largest number of gold medals from a single school. It is also the historical best for MBS as previously the school had only the most, 2 gold medallists. Only 66 gold medals were awarded and each gold medal is awarded to the best in the country for a particular subject and age group.  The subjects offered are Science, Mathematics, English and Computer Skills and the age groups are from Std 3 to Upper Six. Albert won for Science Form 1, Tuck Onn Science Form 2, Jeremy and Samuel for English Form 2 and 5/Lower Six respectively.  A total of 44000 students nationwide UNSW competition gold medallistsfrom amongst the top schools in the country took part in the competition this year.  Congratulations to the 4 MBS boys and a big thank you to the teachers and parents who have guided and supported them. Go Forward MBS!
