Astounding PMR Results For 2009

Once again MBSSKL performed extremely well in the PMR results for 2009. There are a number of astounding facts in this year’s results:
(a) The percentage of straight As was 37.38%, the highest in the history of MBSSKL
(b) Nearly half of the students scored 7As or 8As (maximum being 8As), the best so far.
(c) The percentage of As for Bahasa Melayu, English, Science, Mathematics, History and Geography were also at the historical best.
Nearly 80% of the 206 students scored As for English. The school’s average grade at 1.64 was nevertheless the 2nd best in the history of MBSSKL; the best was 1.62 in 2006. MBSSKL maintains its position as one of the top 10 best schools in KL and the astounding results enabled it to receive two awards from the State Education Department: (a) Outstanding Controlled or Full Boarding School (b) Third best in terms of percentage of straight As. The school would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders who have continuously supported it towards academic excellence and a big “thank you” to all teachers who have worked tremendously hard towards achieving its goals. Immediate Job Vacancy in University of Malaya for SPM and STPM Students

The job is only for 3 – 4 months of period, in which the students can leave the job once they get their SPM or STPM results and proceed to their further study (SPM to STPM, or STPM to University / Collage level). The students join our laboratory will be able to learn and work on (1) data compilation on Annual Report of the Institution, (2) basic laboratory testing for vector control on mosquitoes and flies, and (3) helping to organise state or national levels workshop or seminar. Perhaps this will provide a platform for students to learn in work organisation, and inculcate the interest towards biological sciences.

Appeal procedure for unsuccessful students

Students who are unsuccessful in their application to MBSSKL for the Form 1 intake can file an appeal to the State Education Department using the Borang Rayuan Ke Sekolah Kawalan WPKL 2010 (Tingkatan Satu Sahaja). These forms are available at the Primary Schools, the State District Offices or the State Education Department. You can also click HERE to download the form. All forms must be submitted to the State Education Department (Secondary School Unit) but please give copy of the form to the school.
