MBSSKL is a 5 star Smart School Again!

Once again, MBSSKL is ranked a 5 star Smart School by the Ministry of Education under the Smart School Qualifying Standards (SSQS) for 2011. This advancement is mainly self made, as we are not entitled to many privileges of other government schools like the computer laboratory, the self-access centre and the entitlement of the ICT coordinator. Yet with the strong support of the alumni, PTA, and the Board of Governors, we are able to rise to the status of a Smart School and achieved a 5 star ranking last year. The SSQS is a set of qualifying standards produced by the MOE and MDeC to gauge the extent a school has implemented ICT enabled initiatives in its core processes especially teaching & learning and human capital development. Only very few schools can achieve this ranking and almost all of them are the government sponsored Smart Schools. ssqs_2011

14 Mar 2012: Form 1 - 20 places, Form 2 - 25 places, Form 3 - 12 places, Form 4 Pure Science - 10 places Entry qualifications for Form 1-3: UPSR minimum 4A1B / 6A1B. Forms 4-5: PMR minimum 5As. Good in ICT/English/Chess/Ping Pong.
