SPM 2011: A Record Breaking Year
It was a year when examination records fall like ten pins. Never before MBSSKL breached the 3.0 mark in the average grade for the SPM. We did and the average grade was 2.76 (the lower the better) putting us ahead of all partially controlled schools like CBN, VI, St John’s and the Seri Bintang Schools. At the SPM award ceremony at the State Education Department, MBSSKL bagged a record 6 prizes. Subjects like English Literature, Moral Studies, History, Additional Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics were at historical best, by a wide improvement compared to previous years. A total of 19% of the students scored straight A’s and another 58% scored 5A’s and above. Five students had 9A+ or more. For a detailed analysis of the results from 2001-2011, click here.
