KL/PJ SCF Leaders’ Convention 2009

The KL/PJ CF Leaders’ Convention was held on the 7th of February 2009 from 7.30 am to 1.00pm. SCFs from more than 15 school around the KL ad PJ region attended the yearly event organized by the MBSSKL Christian Fellowship. The theme for this year’s convention was “Metamorphosis”

The event started at 7.30 in the morning with registration of participants. At 8.00am, MBSSKL school principal, Mr Wong Chee Kheon gave an opening speech to welcome the participants. An icebreaking session took place after his speech so that the participants can get to know each other. At around 8.50 am, the Praise and Worship session started.

After the Praise and Worship Session, a short presentation was done by Scripture Union (SU) before the offering was collected. The offering collected will be channeled for the ministry of SU. At 9.30 am, the first speaker, Ms Annete Arulrajah started her message. She conducted an object lesson before she started her message.

At 10.15 am, the participants proceeded to the school terrace for a photo session and a tea break for 25 minutes before gathering back at the school hall. Before starting the second message, SMK TMN SEA SCF did a sketch. The sketch was about a student who was involved in CF and also trying to compromise with his friends. The second speaker, Dr Goh Chee Leong, started his message at 11.00am. He spoke about how we should be changed internally to influence others.

After the message, SMK TMN SEA SCF conducted an intercession. Participants were divided into groups to pray for a number of prayer items. At around 12.15pm, an appreciation session of CF presidents and CF teachers advisors was done. Bible knowledge (BK) promotion was also conducted after the appreciation of CF presidents and teachers by Miss Moey, the former MBSSKL school principle currently the CEO of Methodist College. She stressed on the importance of BK and encouraged students to take BK for their SPM examinations.

The convention ended at around 1.00pm
