The Second Intake Probationary Orientation starts on 9th August 2010, ending on the 3rd September 2010. The new name list is available as well as the IT Brigadiers Oath. Retiring members, be sure to finish your replacements to get your certificate. You can check the number of replacements to be made from the Chairman. ALL REPLACEMENTS SHOULD BE DONE BEFORE AUGUST ENDS. Members as well as probates, please check out your newly formed committees and newly arranged duty day. Be sure to read up the Rules & Regulations for IT Brigade. Strict actions will be taken on offenders. The password for viewing the page has been scrapped off.

9th August 2010 – Orientation starts today. Probates and members are reminded that orientation cannot take place during duty hours.

21st August 2010 – A compulsory one day seminar will be held for all ACTIVE MEMBERS AND PROBATES. This includes members and probates from Form 2 to Form 4. The event starts at 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. Permission slips to be handed in before Friday.

3rd September 2010 – Latest date to pass up your orientation documents.

17th September 2010 – I.T. Exam for 2nd Intake. Syllabus will be updated through ‘Information-Probate-Exam Syllabus’.

Reminders

Replacements for ALL members should be completed before August ends. Punishments include warnings, fines or expulsion.

Daily Jobs : MONDAY – MAINTENANCE (Check that all softwares and applications in the computers are all running, tidy up all wires and cables, arrange lab) TUESDAY – CLEANLINESS (Clean floor, glass, empty the wastepaper basket, arrange lab) WEDNESDAY – SECURITY (Anti-virus, security updates) THURSDAY – CLEANLINESS (Clean the computer/CPU surfaces and desk/tables/chairs, empty the wastepaper basket, arrange lab) FRIDAY – EDUCATIONAL CENSORSHIP (Games deletion, desktop image reset, software check)

All Head of Committees, start your monthly conference in September. This includes the DL Committee. Prepare a monthly report on your activities, the advantages, disadvantages and outcome of the activities. Dateline : 30th September.

All 1st intake probates must complete their replacements or the installation will be delayed.

IT Brigadier's Oath

We, the IT Brigadiers of Methodist Boys’ Secondary School Kuala Lumpur hereby take up this oath, with dignity:

To uphold the responsibility entrusted in us and serve the school in the ICT sector whole-heartedly.
To keep good conduct as a students’ leader.
To be steadfast and ever ready to take any problems that might arise in the ICT sector of our school.
To abide by the rules and regulations set by the authorities no matter when and where we are.
And preserve the name of the Board to the highest standards.
