Correction to the oath

Posted by itbrigade@mbsskl.edu.my on April 5, 2011

Line 3 had a gramatical error: To be steadfast and ever ready to take any problems that might arise in the ICT sector of our school.

The new one: To be steadfast and ever ready to solve any problems that might arise in the ICT sector of our school.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused especially to the probates who had already copied the oath. Just cut and edit on your orientation paper. Members please take note.

Replacement system

Posted by itbrigade@mbsskl.edu.my on April 1, 2011

In the recent General Meeting held on 28th March 2011, these were told:

1. 4 replacements in 2 months = 1 warning letter

2. Replacement not done within 2 weeks = DOUBLE replacement

3. Did not attend General Meeting = DOUBLE replacement unless with acceptable reasons

4. Did not attend any other meetings = 1 Replacement unless with acceptable reasons

5. The above applies after April GM.

This is to clarify matters after further discussions among EXCOs. The following will be applied instead of the above.

1. 1 replacement not done within 2 weeks = DOUBLE replacement with/without reasons

2. Did not attend General Meeting = DOUBLE replacement

3. Did not attend any other meetings = 1 Replacement

4. The above applies for all absence (duty and meeting) AFTER March GM. For every replacement not done BEFORE March GM, you will only need to replace 1 time.

Any queries please post on Information Technology Brigade MBSSKL 2010/2011 (the new one!) on Facebook or here. Sorry for any misunderstandings caused.

ITB  TIMES

Kuala Lumpur: A most exciting interview session resulted in the selection of 11 students as PROBATIONARY IT Brigadiers of MBSSKL here this evening. It was a slow process with the panel deciding to have some fun this time by going hard-core 4 against 1.

Surprisingly, many portray themselves as “good” students of the school. Few wished “Good afternoon” and one even got so blurred he greeted ” Good morning” thrice. And it was a sweltering hot 2 o’clock afternoon. One said, “Oh, I think I will be quite disciplined!” The next moment, he was shot for not having his badge on. It seems like a number of them got so immersed in filling out the application forms that they just had to write “Healthy” on the Allergies column. Here’s a good laugh:

Scene 1

Q: Your experience/knowledge/achievements in IT field? Proficient in any software(s)?

A: I have been to LK class.

Scene 2

Chairman: Tell me more about yourself.

Applicant: Eh? As in?

Scene 3

Applicant: Hey! I know how to use Adobe Reader Acrobat 8!!

Scene 4

Q: Your experience/knowledge/achievements in IT field? Proficient in any software(s)?

A: My experience and knowledge in IT field are good. I am also good in handling.

(faints)…Handling what?!

Scene 5

(points at floppy disk drive) What’s this?

Applicant 1: CD-ROM!

Applicant 2: Processor!
