School Rules and Regulations
The school rules and regulations are prepared with the cooperation of the school disciplinary board and the parent-teacher-association. They are based on the guidelines given by the Ministry of Education.
They serve to guide parents, teachers and students to a standard of discipline which MBSians are proud of. To enhance the standard of discipline further, the school has decided to use E-Discipline a merit-demerit points system developed by the Ministry of Education to manage discipline in the school. The present merit-demerit system that the school has been using all these years is just a simple manual + Ms Excel system. The present merit-demerit points have been modified to reflect the government’s system.
The school endeavours to list the accumulated demerit points of every student at least once a month. Students can then check with the teachers the offences they have committed and how they can off-set these demerit points, for e.g. undertaking goodwill tasks like clearing the storeroom or cleaning the windows.
